All PlayStation Movie and TV Show that is developed by DevelopmentSony is producing a number of PlayStation-related films along with TV shows. In the last couple of several years Sony was stepping up the newly established PlayStation Productions. The production firm is currently involved in at-least 7 projects known to the public, many of which are well-beyond the beginning of simply a concept on a whiteboard.
Some of these have already been shot, some are currently preparing to shoot while others are still in the scripting phase and so on. You get the picture. Needless to say, PlayStation is very determined about this endeavor which can't be said for a variety of other studios trying to make video games more adaptable.
PlayStation Productions released its first project earlier this year with its long-awaited Uncharted. It is a film adaptation Naughty Dog's favorite game has been in the works for over a decadeand has been trading hands with numerous directors, writers, and actors.
The final film starred with Tom Holland in the role of Nathan Drake and although the film wasn't a big hit with criticsbut it did pull in an impressive amount of cash at the box-office and also sets the stage for a sequel with Diablo 2 Resurrected Items, so it's likely that more live action Nathan Drake adventures are on the horizon at some point. A potential Uncharted sequel isn't the only thing on the Sony's agenda however.
