A special Easter egg from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl proved to be brought back in the remake to celebrate director Junichi Masuda's birthday. Junichi Masuda is one of the current directors of the Pokémon series, although he hasn't been the main director of a Pokémon game since Pokémon Sun and Moon.
Diamond Dust is a special Easter egg that has been in the collection since Gen 4. To celebrate special events, a special type of snow dust falls in places like Snowpoint City. This includes Junichi Masuda's birthday and the release anniversaries of games like Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. This Easter egg even carries over to Pokémon Sun and Moon, where diamond dust will fall on Mount Lanakila on the player's birthday.
According to Joe Merrick of Serebii.net (via Gamespot), this Easter egg will appear in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on January 12. Showing that diamond dust is falling in Snowpoint, it creates a truly fascinating scene. Additionally, Pokémon encounter and hatch rates have been boosted on specific days, just like Pokémon Diamonds and Pearls, there are other days that offer these same benefits, which are listed on Serebii.net.
Junichi Masuda is also known for a Shiny Pokémon hunting method named after him called the Masuda method. The method involves breeding with Pokémon in another language. When using a foreign Pokémon, the chance of hatching a Shiny Pokémon increases dramatically. Ditto is the ideal foreign Pokémon to use for this method, as it can be bred with any Pokémon, and with the Shiny Charm further increases the chance of hatching Shiny. Coincidentally, this method was first introduced in Pokémon Diamonds and Pearls.
The fact that this Easter egg from the original 2006 release has carried over into the remake is yet another appreciation for detail in these games. Aside from this being just a great way to celebrate Junichi Masuda's birthday, the beautiful scenery and in-game perks are a good reason to launch the Pokémon BDSP on that day. There are also some Easter eggs that may reference a future release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, such as hinting at the possible inclusion of Hisuian Qwilfish. This suggests that Pokémon Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl has Easter eggs that reference past and future versions.
I have been in Pokémon BDSP for several months, during which I searched for many professional websites with Shiny Pokemon For Sale and Cheap BDSP Held Items for Sale. After comparing multiple websites, I chose to Buy Shiny BDSP Pokemon at bdsp.pkmbuy.com, and then I discovered and purchased Cheap BDSP Held Items. There is also many Pokémon BDSP strategy articles on the news page, which is very useful to me. They are already preparing the page of Pokémon Legend: Arceus and the product should be launched after the game comes out. I am also very looking forward to it.
