Part of your video-game return to Madden is celebrating Nike's legendary Bo Knows campaign. Take us back to the beginning. How did the brand present the Mut 22 coins idea to Bo Knows to you?

We came across Bo Knows accidentally. Directors, writers, and sketchers We were sitting around going over some storyboards to shoot our next project. We wanted to cut the length because it seemed quite long. Everyone was giving their own opinion about this or this. I said, "Why should we not do this? ... Why shouldn't we take this idea and move it over here, and put this here, join it, and cut off 5 or 6 moments?' They glanced at me , and they said "Wow. It's probably a good idea.' Then somebody across the table looked at me and said 'Bo Knows!' And it stuck. There was no one who sat and racked their brains or stayed up late thinking of that catchphrase. It just happened at the table discussing shots.

Prior to getting your signature shoe, which was for instance, the Nike Air Bo Turf, in 1990, you starred in by wearing the Nike Air Trainer 3, which became the name of your shoe. What are your memories surrounding that Air Trainer 3?

The way I'll explain it this way. In 1969 the year I was in the first grade in my home in rural Alabama In the winter, it was thirty-six degrees outside. And I had to attend school in barefoot. No shoes. I'm not sharing this story for the sake of sympathy or to make a story. But I can remember my brother standing just a few blocks away from our house. The front door is open. There was a sister standing just a block away from my brother. our other sister was waiting at the bus station. My sister who was stood at the bus station and saw that the bus had climbed the hill only a couple of blocks away, she would shout on my second sister, who would yell to my brother. And my brother would yell at me. And then I'd go to the exit barefoot. When my brother reached my sister's house, I would've caught him up to speed. The moment we got on the road, I'm about 15 yards in front of my brother and sister. From walking to school in sandals in the winter of 1969 to growing up and getting sneakers that were inspired by me ... I'm blessed.

After 30 odd decades, people still brag about their shoes and keep that shoe. A couple of weeks ago, a close friend of mine, Anthony Anderson, the comedian, he texts me, "Hey, Bo! I'm doing a show about each of my sneaker. I'm unable to locate your Air Trainers. I'd like to have a pair your shoes it just occurred that I owned a pair sitting inside my workplace. I thought, 'Hey, I have an item here. I'll send those to your address. It's those moments like that when I'm able to sit in my chair and think, 'Wow!.'
