  • Finding the Right Reiki

Your Reiki session should meet your needs and preferences. After all, it's your healing session. Not all Reiki practitioners and sessions are created the same, so take the time to talk to potential practitioners and ask about their background and your session. That way, you're more likely to find a practitioner or session that suits you. Here are five tips to help you find the right Reiki practitioner.

Practical qualification Education Level Not all Reiki practitioners have the same education. First, you can get Level I, Level II, or Level III / Master's training. Level I practitioners usually integrate Reiki with other major healing modalities such as massage therapy and acupressure. Incorporating Reiki has the potential to enhance the energy and healing aspects of this modality.

Level II practitioners often offer Reiki as a stand-alone method. I tell  Reiki students that Level II is when a person is ready to become a professional Reiki practitioner. Level II provides practitioners with additional techniques to promote Reiki healing. In this phase, the practitioner evolves from an essentially passive channel to a channel that can evoke a variety of vibration and life energy qualities. Level III is a Reiki Master.

Reiki Masters can be Masters / Practitioners or Masters / Instructors (Masters / Teachers) who are having reiki online certification. All trainers are practitioners, but not all practitioners are trainers. The instructor will learn how to give attunement. They have a slightly deeper or broader understanding of Reiki because they tend to use more techniques and need to be able to teach and convey concepts and techniques to others.

Training Quality: The second reason why two training courses are not the same is quality, and the quality of training offered varies greatly. The best training includes demonstrations and lots of practice. I don't offer two days of Level I and II courses one after another because I believe the exchange of practice and experience is important. However, some masters/instructors fly all levels in just a day or two. Others offer online training or simply set up and suggest that students read for themselves. In summary, the level and quality of training reflect the quality of healing.

  • Work experience

Exercise is important, but not all. Experience is definitely important, but the idea that "more experience is better" is only partially true. The practitioner may have worked with energy long before taking a structured course with some form of energy healing. Perhaps he/she came to Reiki after researching and practicing other energetic healing methods. So it's a good idea to ask about his / her experience and other education.

  • Practical ability and behavior

Sensitive and open people tend to be good energy channels. Healers can also be empathetic and/or intuitive. All of these attributes contribute to the quality of healing. Your voice can often give you clues. It can also indicate if the practitioner is a natural healer. It is ethical, compassionate, supportive and preventive in nature. Choose a practitioner you like and feel comfortable with. Ask yourself if this person really seems interested in helping you, or if they are saying they can and are more focused on their ego.

  • Reiki type practice offer

Reiki comes in many forms: Western Usui, Eastern Usui or Traditional Usui, Usui / Tibet, Reiki Holy Fire®, Gendai, Sechem Seitim (SSR), Karna® or Tummo®. (See the description on the page What is Star Chaser Reiki?) The most widely used form of Reiki in the United States is West Usui.  Reiki practitioners can adapt and be trained in one or more of these forms of Reiki through reiki courses online.

The term "Usui Reiki" is also used to describe one of the forms of Usui, such as Western, Eastern, Tibet, Tummo®, and Holy Fire®. While all forms of Reiki have healed, the session or treatment can be slightly different and the energies can feel a little different.

Especially for those who are very sensitive, open, and familiar with energy healing. If you are interested in a particular form of Reiki or know what your tastes are, find a practitioner who offers it.

  • What will the session look like

Customer Details / Information: The practitioner typically requires the client to fill out a hospitalization form, sign a disclaimer, and discuss the current health and intent of the session. In addition, you may be required to fill out a rating form for each visit. If you feel uncomfortable sharing your personal medical history,  ask the prospective doctor about gathering information. Also,  they need to keep your records safe under the law. Ask how they store your information.

Hands-off / Handson: Reiki is commonly practiced outside or above the client's body and in the client's aura, but light touches or "laying on of hands" is not uncommon. If you wish, be sure to share it, even if your doctor neglects to ask about it. Most practitioners create a quiet and quiet space for  Reiki sessions. Light is usually kept low. Candles and salt lamps (selenite)  are common. Many people provide music. Typical genres are New Age, Relaxation, Nature, Spacey, Dreamy, Spa, and Spiritual.
