It is definitely the perfect time to got married, regardless of what time of year you select, there are always the best wedding dresses available for the bride and her bridesmaids. But I need to say that if you're tying the knot in 2016 you're in for a bonanza selection of new style gowns from Dessy to select from! Take this choice of white and black lace bridesmiad gowns, for example, all in the new Spring 16 collection.

First up may be the pretty Dessy Collection 6746 (above) within the appropriately named Starlight with black Fleur lace embroidery overlay. This dress consists of a sheer fabric called mousseline, which, like its culinary counterpart, is light and delicate. The Starlight color is nearly luminescent instead of brilliant white that makes it beautifully easy around the eye. I love the 3/4 length sleeves (that is possibly the most flattering length) and also the attractive deep V behind. The modified circle skirt provides you with plenty of swings and it is hi-low hemline provides it with a youthful, contemporary feel - a complete winner throughout.

These next two dresses both feature the most amazing, intricate Regency lace with scalloped edging and again the lovely hi-low hemlines.

Regency lace is denoted by its 'Vandyke points', the deeply indented, pointed edging named after Sir Anthony Van Dyck, a 17th-century Flemish painter (and popular portraitist for British royalty and also the upper crust), who had been known for painting elaborate V-shaped lace collars and scalloped edges on both his men and women sitters. (The pointed vandyke beard seemed to be named after him.) It certainly does ooze class and sophistication, there is no doubt about this!

Above around the left is After Six 6747 in Starlight and Black and on the best is After Six 6748, using the 6747 featuring a wide open back and optional spaghetti straps. Again, both skirts are modified circles with lots of movement - ideal for hitting the party area later on.

And lastly, I couldn't resist the red bridesmaid dresses FL4050 using its jewel neckline and Regency lace detail in the waist - simply adorable!
