There are 5 upgrades to the mc's feral tank, and some of Burning Crusade Classic Gold them were sought-after (accuria and agi cloakoff rag). Tier gear was useless other aside from a few pieces that were important for a tank set. Other parts, like the large dark iron ring that was heavy and the fireguard shoulders, were also removed. The set wasn't particularly exciting.
Although not as memorable I believe it's because there are more options. For instance, you may wear three different pants. One heroic, one from Kara and the third one is crafted, the bis is only marginally edging away from the other items. Vanilla would transport you from the dungeon and then the upgrade in that phase.
TBC gear was among the most memorable, but Vanilla's gear was most distinct. You have DST, stunherald/lionheart, Ashes of alar, warglavies, spellstrike/spellfire/shadoweave sets, Latros shifting sword, the sun eater (not meta but still a status item back in the day on priv servers). There is a shit ton of items to be found, although not as crazy as vanilla , but still much different from. Wotlk's performance is slow, mostly due to 2 problems. It's an oof to own a Naxx 15x2.
I just started playing TBC Classic a week ago and as a first-time player, I would like to seek out directions to the zones as well as dungeons and raids in Outland. I can play them as they come in the map, but the thing is I want everything I do in the expansion to be sequential lorewise. I've completed all quests from Hellfire Peninsula and the two dungeons of Hellfire Citadel and then all quests in Zangarmarsh in the two dungeons that are in Serpent Lake. However, I'm now able to complete quests across several zones, and I'm feeling a bit lost.
It's too easy to see it through a retail lens. There is no "chronological order" or overarching story to the quests for expansions, the vast majority of quests are isolated to their own regions. There was not a lot of epic story telling back to. As such, at 68 you can choose between Shadowmoon or Netherstorm But neither of these zones has anything to do with either zone, and are their own fully contained entities, therefore there's no right story order. For raidsyou'll want to go Kara Gruul’s Magtheridon Tempest Keep/Sepernt Shrine (again, they aren't in an ordered order), Hyjal Black Temple, Sunwell. ZA is fun and has a place. However, like all Trolls, it's never "in" in any way.
TBC was first created to expand the Classic game. When playing a TBC server can allow you access to all Classic content, even though it's cheap WOW TBC Gold now obsolete. They are currently considered separate games for those who prefer the vanilla/classic version of the game.
