Alumina trihydrate can be referred to as an odorless, white-colored, non-toxic, chemically inert, less abrasive powder-formed solid substance. It is also known as aluminum trihydroxide. Alumina trihydrate has exceptionally low water solubility, but it is amphoteric in nature, meaning it dissolves in both strong acids and alkali. It is generally derived from bauxite ore in various sizes and refined through the Bayer procedure.
