When you buy legendary crests, it is not purchasing a game of the dicelike you do when purchasing the FIFA Ultimate Team card pack or a FIFA Ultimate Team card pack, for example. The purchase is an opportunity to play with the dice, to tap into the game engine to tweak the drop rate (slightly) in your favor. Gaming mechanics are addicting and are not separated from the addictive gameplay mechanics. Instead, they are linked directly into combat and loot drops inside the game. Diablo is perfectly positioned to accomplish this. As my coworker Maddy Myers pointed out, these games heavily focused on loot always had a certain slot-machine-like quality as well, which Diablo Immortal's business strategy makes sense.

Blizzard has made it a point to point out that Immortal's monetization is able to be ignored until the endgame that is the case, and claims that the majority gamers enjoy the game without spending even a cent, which is quite plausible. However, it's disingenuous to assert that the main enjoyment of Diablo is playing through the story, instead of maxing out your character. It's equally disingenuous to deny that these games have created a hunger for hitting the power limit in the players. For people with a tendency towards gambling addiction, to the addictive aspects of Diablo's item gameor, more importantly or both, the crest system has been deemed to be inflicting a lot of harm and is potentially extremely destructive.

To everyone else this makes Diablo more difficult to play.

We've been there before or in a similar situation. When Diablo 3 was released in 2012 it came with an auction house that was real money where players could buy or sell their item drops. In theory, it was there to stop the fraud and cheating that plagued trading on Diablo 2. However, in order to direct players to an auction house Blizzard dropped the loot rate in Diablo 3 to such an such a degree that equipping your character was a tedious task and the game was uninteresting to play. After the auction house was unpopular, it was removed and drop rates were increased in 2014 Diablo 3 instantly became more enjoyable, even before advancements of The Reaper of Souls expansion raised the game to a classic level. If you want to learn more about Diablo 4 Gold, piease vist https://www.mmoexp.com/Diablo-4/Gold.html
